Fire Power Remake
is
a Retro Remake of the old time classic Fire Power. The game is in production right now and anything may change. The current work name is Metal Fortres. However Firepower Shelshock has also been coined.

A big part of the fun of firepower were it's multiplayer features. This version will have them as well. Right now just two player local, but I am working on network play, and plan
to allow more then two players to engage in combat. Another feature I am adding, is a level designer/uploader. Where you can create levels, and upload them, so anyone can play with them.

I remember this Amiga game and was quite good fun but got a little boring after a while in single player mode. Net or 2 player mode would be ideal,i found the scrolling on the Amiga to be a little jerky so hope this will be better,looking good so far.

MMMMMM, not sure where that idea had come from Blacklotus,can't say that it's in keeping with the original at all,tanks and easter eggs don't exactly go together some how do they? Bit of a strange one there i feel.
If you want easter eggs i suggest you write a nice platform game with bunnies in it,either that just want until easter comes along,anyway back to this game in hand,loved the Amiga game and hope this gets finished sometime in the future,developers always do seem to get sidetracked and i'm no different.
Oh if you want a decent military music track or 2 mr webmaster may i suggest infamous at all?

I was wondering if you could add an easter egg to your game. Such as a flashing purple building appear every so often and when you shoot it, then little purple creature come out of it and attack your tank.
This is just an idea, you can make up your own easter egg of your choice. It will certainly have people playing your game more often just to find the easter egg.

Hi all,
Nothing substantial to blab about. Being a WIP-master, I picked up some more ideas for more games of course in the meantime, yes I know... BAAAAAD habid.... anyway, the game Ben There Dan That really made me want to write a point-and-click adventure. Did anyone play that game btw? If not, I totally recomend it, it not exactly a remake, but it's beyond cool....
I havent abandoned the game though it's just a bit on hold now. With so many other things happening now....
But.... I am working on it now and then, and there IS progress... Maybe maybe maybe (and maybe some more maybes, so let's not get anyones hopes up too much), i'll be able to submit a playable demo soon.
Some small updates for the curious.
1. The current working title has changed once more. I will reveal it together with a playable demo.
2. Added soldiers sprites.
3. Pollished up the map editor, the idea is to have something that can be included in the game. In order to give the game longer lastability.
***REQUEST***
Does anyone feel like doing some military kind of tunes for the game?

The 2 player modus was much more fun indeed. So the focus is definitly on multiplayer. I will try to upload a demo, or movie of this soon.
