DH0:Index "What's on this web page?"
Well, hi there!
You just stumbled onto my creative web page.
This page is supposed to be seen in 1024*768 mode.

Years ago, somewhere between 1985 and 1995, I had an Commodore Amiga computer.
The fun thing with this machine was that it inspires you to be creative.
This page features pictures I made on the Amiga, and music Modules, which I made on the PC.

At the of this page there is more information about Commodore Amiga.

DH0:Desktop Wallpapers  "Conversions of my Amiga pics"
 Desktop Wallpapers (click here)
Pictures I made by hand on the Amiga computer.

Some are converted and to be used as desktop backgrounds.
This page is a work in progress, more pictures will be added on the fly.

The idea is to convert reasonably well succeeded Amiga pictures
to something more up-to-technology-standards.

DH0:Protracker Music  "Experimental music"
 Protracker Modules (click here)
Here you can download selfmade pieces of "music", in the tracker format.

You need the right software to listen to them. But Winamp can handle them.  But not windows medial player.

They are personal experiments, an not very good yet. But I will keep practicing untill something nice comes out  :-)

DH0:More "More info"
About the Amiga, Protracker and Deluxepaint.

"Deluxe Paint" was a very easy to use program on the Amiga. This alowed me to create a massive amount of pictures. Also it featured animations (little movies). Deluxe Paint was created by Electronic Arts. It featured 2,4,16,32,64 or 4096  colour painting, and later you could also paint in 262144 colours. This was alot of for those days. Deluxe paint was made by Electronic Arts. Without this, they probably would never have made it all the way to the Playstation 2 ;o)  If you are curious, you can have a look at ProMotion which has a lot of  the same look and feel as Deluxepaint, but it is for the PC.

Besides making pictures on the computer you could also make songs very easily. These were only instrumental songs, created in "Protracker".

"Protracker" was a program with a very technical approach to music. Instead of notes, you would write hexcode.  If you knew computers and had a little feeling for music, you could however create music pretty soon.  The songs are called "modules" instead of songs.  Because it allowed everyone  who had an Amiga to experiment with music, massive amounts of music have been created, and still can be found on the web. A screenshot of Protracker can be found on this page. Modules are easy to find, here for example. Modules can be played on the PC with software like WinAmp(player), DeliTracker(player), or Modplugtracker (player and editor). If you are curious about tracking try to download Modplugtracker.

The Commodore Amiga was a 16bit computer, with special chips for sound and graphics. This meant that in those days it was far ahead of it's time. While PCs still had only 16 colours, the Amiga could be used for 32, 64, or in some modes even 4096 colours.  Also it had stereo sound, and could play samples. (Samples are little peaces of recorded sound). Here is a link about the history of the Amiga.

The look and feel of this page is supposed to be like you are working on an old Amiga computer. In the "Workbench" environment.  However it is enhanced to look a little more "modern". More colors etc.
Also  the windows are a little simplified, to keep the same appearance on most browsers.
(It was really quite challenging to create windows with the aid of tables, since tables look
a little different on all browsers)
